Customer Notes

Three of these customers will always send you backwards, but all of them have the capacity to send you backwards if chosen poorly.

  • Customers 4, 5, and 6 are the key to choosing Customers 1, 2, and 3 correctly. When a single customer in the 4, 5, 6 group is yellow, that yellow customer marks the position of the customer in the 1, 2, 3 group most likely to go forward to the Tennis Court.
    • When Customer 4 is yellow, and both 5 and 6 are orange, choose Customer 1 for your best chance to the Tennis Court.
    • When Customer 5 is yellow, and both 4 and 6 are orange, drive towards Customer 2. If 2 is yellow, it wants to go to the Tennis Court. (You can take 2 to the Tennis Court any time it's yellow, regardless of what 4, 5, and 6 are colored. Furthermore, if you have the intention of picking up 1 or 3 but see that 2 is yellow, either take 2 instead or drive elsewhere to pick up a customer.)
    • When Customer 6 is yellow, and both 4 and 5 are orange, Customer 3 has the best chances for a Tennis Court trip. However, even the best chances for this customer aren't very good at all. In other words, expect this one to send you backwards.
  • After you've taken at least Customers 1 and 3, you can concentrate on choosing 4, 5, and 6 for rides to the Fire Station. Again, you want one of this "triangle" to be yellow, and two to be orange. When this occurs, choose whichever orange customer is clockwise from the yellow one.
    • When Customer 6 is yellow, and both 4 and 5 are orange, choose 4 to the Fire Station.
    • When Customer 4 is yellow, and both 5 and 6 are orange, choose 5 to the Fire Station.
    • When Customer 5 is yellow, and both 4 and 6 are orange, choose 6 to the Fire Station.
Identifying these patterns should reward you with two forward trips, but the last one relies on luck.
  • Pick up Customers 10, 11, and 12 when they're red for trips to Lookout Tower.
  • backwards customers
Customers 7, 8, and 9 will always send you backwards regardless of color (orange to either Crown Arena or Osmous Hotel, yellow to Mall – North Gate). When yellow, Customers 10, 11, and 12 also send you back to Mall – North Gate. If you're sent backwards by 1, 2, or 3 you'll go to either Sky Bank or C.T. Hospital. Customers 4, 5, and 6 may send you backwards to the Commercial District area if orange or Mall – West Gate if yellow. Keep in mind there's always a chance of being sent backwards by 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 even if you choose them correctly (especially 3).

Additional Notes...

  • As alluded to earlier, when given the opportunity try to take 1 and 3 early on in the game. Since you can take 2 any time it's yellow, this may allow you to start on the 4, 5, 6 group sooner. When you're ready to take 2 after a drop-off, drive towards the corner of the fountain until it comes into view. If it's yellow, swerve left and drive around the fountain to pick it up. If it's light-green, swerve to the right. Hopefully 10, 11, or 12 will be red for a Lookout Tower trip (if not, drive there passengerless).
  • Don't worry when there aren't any forward-destinationed customers here and you have to make a passengerless trip to Lookout Tower. That's a regular occurrence since this is such a popular destination from the Commercial District area.
  • A good time to take the last customer of the 4, 5, 6 group is when you arrive here while driving backwards. If it wants to go backwards further, at least that's the direction you were headed anyway...
  • Driving into, then out of and back into, the visual range of Customer 2 will force it to shift colors, making it eventually turn yellow for a trip to the Tennis Court. A good time to do this is after using the phone booths to stop your cab in the drop-off zone. I wouldn't do this until after Customers 1 and 3 have been chosen and no one else here will go forward, since this process does use up additional time.
